Northrock Barbets Upcoming Litter Announcement
Puppies due May 2017
BPIS CH Northrock’s Eureka CGN x CH Nuphar’s Everything Zen
Pregnancy has been confirmed by ultrasound.
This much anticipated litter is the result of the co-operation between Billy’s owner Olaf van Schie, breeder Anne Plomp, myself and Lexi’s co-owner Delia Bucknell. Our mutual respect for one another and our shared passion for the Barbet has allowed us to carry out this exciting international breeding.
There is much to like about this pairing as we feel that Lexi to Billy is an excellent match for temperament, conformation and overall health. At almost 5 years of age, Billy is a healthy, good natured Barbet. He is calm, sociable and friendly and lives in an active family with three children. Billy enjoys water, swims and retrieves.
Beautifully balanced he is a nice moving dog with a strong head, good bone, nice depth of chest and good forechest. His coat has retained it’s deep black pigment and has easy to manage open curls. He has achieved his Dutch conformation championship with pleasing comments from the judges. His hips are rated A and his eyes are certified normal.
This will be Lexi’s first litter. Along the way to her Canadian Kennel Club championship she earned multiple Best Puppy in Sporting Group wins along with a Best Puppy in Show. A pretty girl, Lexi also has a Canine Good Neighbour temperament title to her credit. Her hips are OFA good and she has normal elbow, cardiac, thyroid and eye certifications and is clear for dilution.
At birth her colour was a rich chestnut brown and in her second year began it fading to a much lighter although quite striking colour. She has a gentle and loving temperament and excels as a companion to the two young boys she shares her home with. Summers for Lexi include lots of time at the family cottage where she gets to swim regularly.
We are very much looking forward to the puppies that Lexi and Billy could produce. It’s our hope that the pedigree for this litter will be a marriage of bloodlines that will benefit our breeding program and make a positive contribution to the breed.
